HAPPY LABOR DAY!

From...

Dedicated to my fellow laborers and students where I worked for 5+ years as a Nurse Assistant Instructor, as well as to my new co-workers and future students. The lovely quilt above was skillfully crafted by a fellow-instructor and friend!

What Is a CNA?

A nursing assistant is a very special gem~

My coworkers and I have taught quite a host of them!

Men and women who desire to learn the art of care~

From making a wrinkle-free bed to just combing hair,

Learning to help a patient, client, resident,

While easing their distress of becoming dependant,

With a warm, gentle smile, and an encouraging word.

Practicing skillfully all the principles they've heard.

A CNA can bring hope to a dismal, dreary day,

In caring like a friend, not just a job~collecting pay!

~A Christian nurse's gift~

A Christian Nurse! How best to help others today?

Called to serve GOD in a very special way.

Having a heart to help the hurting one~the ill.

Reaching out, giving so much more than just a pill.

In prayer for those HE daily entrusts to your care.

Seeking HIS DIVINE will to be a blessing there.

Tenderly caring, as THE GREAT PHYSICIAN heals

In empathy dealing with how your patient feels.

Always striving to do more than duty demands.

Nurses commited to THE LORD are HIS own hands.

Nurturing the sick one skillfully back to health.

Unselfishly serving HIM without thought of wealth.

Realizing the blessedness of your giving~

Serving THE SAVIOUR, dear nurse, what joyful living!

Envision in Heaven HIS pleased salute "well done!"

Smiling as you stand glowing before HIM~GOD's SON.

Greater riches than mere earthly money or fame

Is the timeless reward of nursing in HIS name.

Forever knowing that your work is then complete. . .

There won't be one sick person in Heaven to treat!

Make A Difference

Make a difference in the life of each patient in your care

Abandon troubles, they can’t help you much while you are there

Keep each circumstance you encounter in its perspective.

Exercise to stay fit and have more energy to give…

All or none…make a difference!

Do your job well and above what is expected of you.

Infection control keeps others safe from what germs can do.

Focus as well on the safety of every one around.

Friendliness is important too…best medicine I’ve found

Exemplify the “golden rule”! Do what’s right, take a stand!

Remember respect and dignity go well hand in hand

Expect the unexpected…have a plan B anyway.

No grumbling alone ever solved the challenge of the day

Change YOUR attitude; you’re the only one you can control…

Emotions are good to share, to laugh, to weep, to console!
