A army will destroy the temple and then they will set up the "abomination that causes desolation" Possibly a terrible weapon of some sort-nuclear bomb maybe?

Take a good look around you and tell me if this isn't already happening. Is it possible that the ones said to have a form of godliness but denying its power be AA, Na, OA etc?

Thanks to some christain cults many do not believe anymore when people say the end is near. The signs of water all over the earth are blamed on glaciers and scientists do not believe that Gods word created the heavens and the earth but blame it on the big bang.

7.By the same word the present heavens and earth are reserved for fire, being kept for the day of judgment and destruction of ungodly men. 8.But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day. 9.The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance. 10But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything in it will be laid bare.

Since peter told us "But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day" There might be a clue of some sort since he emphased it.

Revelation 11
18.The nations were angry; and your wrath has come. The time has come for judging the dead, and for rewarding your servants the prophets and your saints and those who reverence your name, both small and great-- and for destroying those who destroy the earth."

Notice here that it says "for destroying those who destroy the earh" Is it possible that many of the judgements in rev are a result of our own actions. Take global warming for example most believe that it is a direct result of our own actions. We have air, water, and earth pollution.

Revelation 12

The Woman and the Dragon
1.A great and wondrous sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet and a crown of twelve stars on her head. 2.She was pregnant and cried out in pain as she was about to give birth. 3.Then another sign appeared in heaven: an enormous red dragon with seven heads and ten horns and seven crowns on his heads. 4.His tail swept a third of the stars out of the sky and flung them to the earth. The dragon stood in front of the woman who was about to give birth, so that he might devour her child the moment it was born. 5.She gave birth to a son, a male child, who will rule all the nations with an iron scepter. And her child was snatched up to God and to his throne. 6.The woman fled into the desert to a place prepared for her by God, where she might be taken care of for 1,260 days. 7.And there was war in heaven. Michael and his angels fought against the dragon, and the dragon and his angels fought back. 8.But he was not strong enough, and they lost their place in heaven. 9.The great dragon was hurled down--that ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, who leads the whole world astray. He was hurled to the earth, and his angels with him.

Now to me this almost sounds like a recape of past events, herod trying to kill the child spoken about by the 3 wise men, Jesus birth and role in the future and Israel being destroyed by the romans and the jews being scattered all over the earth. Revelation 12

verse

10.Then I heard a loud voice in heaven say:
"Now have come the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God, and the authority of his Christ. For the accuser of our brothers, who accuses them before our God day and night, has been hurled down. 11They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death. 12Therefore rejoice, you heavens and you who dwell in them! But woe to the earth and the sea, because the devil has gone down to you! He is filled with fury, because he knows that his time is short."

It is very possible that this is speaking about the apostles and many christains who were persecuted after Jesus acsended into Heaven. Revelation 12

13When the dragon saw that he had been hurled to the earth, he pursued the woman who had given birth to the male child. 14.The woman was given the two wings of a great eagle, so that she might fly to the place prepared for her in the desert, where she would be taken care of for a time, times and half a time, out of the serpent's reach. 15Then from his mouth the serpent spewed water like a river, to overtake the woman and sweep her away with the torrent. 16.But the earth helped the woman by opening its mouth and swallowing the river that the dragon had spewed out of his mouth.

This could have already happened already during the holocost. Remember how germany tried to extermenate the jewish people. There is also other times that the jewish people were killed or persecuted by the romans and by the ruling roman catholic church after that time.

Revelation 12

verse

17Then the dragon was enraged at the woman and went off to make war against the rest of her offspring--those who obey God's commandments and hold to the testimony of Jesus.

It is also possible that this could be speaking about the roman catholic churchs persecution of devote christains that did not believe in praying to saints but only to God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Ghost.

Again this could refer to a country and not a man and if that is the case then it It could be referring to the reunification of germany.

And he makes the earth and those who dwell in it to worship the first beast, whose fatal wound was healed. 13.He performs great signs, so that he even makes fire come down out of heaven to the earth in the presence of men. 14.And he deceives those who dwell on the earth because of the signs which it was given him to perform in the presence of the beast, telling those who dwell on the earth to make an image to the beast who had the wound of the sword and has come to life. 15.And it was given to him to give breath to the image of the beast, so that the image of the beast would even speak and cause as many who do not worship the image of the beast to be killed. 16.And he causes all, the small and the great, and the rich and the poor, and the free men and the slaves, to be given a mark on their right hand or on their forehead, 17.and he provides that no one will be able to buy or to sell, except the one who has the mark, either the name of the beast or the number of his name.

The second beast that comes from the earth could be a leader chosen to represent the world powers. I am guessing that the main member or power of this world goverment could be germany again.This leader would "tell... those who dwell on the earth to make an image to the beast who had the wound of the sword and has come to life". Again this would very much be like germanies style of goverment.The beasts image could be robots. We now have the technology to build them. Also a possible excuse for getting this mark could be terrorists, crime etc. Anyone not getting the mark could easyly be labled terrorists or extremists dangerous to the new goverment.It is also possible that the mark can be anything including a computer chip. The USA army is already using this technology.
