ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION - FEBRUARY 14, 2005

OUR ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION

Past and present members and their spouses/guests, members of our sister club; a representation of 3 from Lighthouse Christian Writers in Oconto, WI. attended

Lois Wiederhoeft from Peshtigo, Laura and Jennifer Strnad from Oconto attended. Lois has been a member of the Word and Pen Christian Writers club since September of 1986. In November of 2001 she moved North and is still a member of Word and Pen, by keeping up this web site. Lois and another friend from Peshtigo met three years ago in the Peshtigo Library. Two years ago they start talking about starting a new Writers Club. In May of 2004, Beth Ziarnik from Word and Pen came up to promote the benefits of a Christian Writers Club. From there the Lighthouse Christian Writers group got it's beginning.

WHAT DID WE CELEBRATE?

Twenty years ago the Lord led Beth Ziarnik and a few others to find fellowship and encouragement for their Christian Writing. Beth has seen many members come and leave. She is the only charter member and is still active, writing in several genrés. It all started in February 1985 - History It was time to celebrate 20 years of ongoing encouragement for the many people who have been part of this Christian Writers Club.

WHEN DID THE CELEBRATION TAKE PLACE?

We gathered on February 14, 2005 to share in a potluck supper of many desirable foods and a special anniversary cake.

WHERE DID THE CELEBRATION TAKE PLACE ?
Feasting on food and fellowship took place in the 'Grand room' of St. Thomas Episcopal church, Menasha, WI. St Thomas Church has been our host for more than 15 years.

After the feasting of food, we feasted on hearing an 'Open Mike' sharing of poems, devotions, puppet skits and stories that Word and Pen and other authors have written.
A special Certificate of appreciation was presented to Beth Ziarnik
