HIV/AIDS Education and Prevention
This ministry began slowly so that we could learn and apply the cultural beliefs that exist within many tribes to the lessons. It is our desire to make the deepest and most lasting impact as possible, and to do that, we MUST understand the culture first. Marci is a biologist by degree and has a heart and passion for this issue.

Currently the ministry of HIV/AIDS consists of:

We are a Partner and consultant to the Zambia Police Service by:
o Producing a bi-monthly AIDS publication to commanders within the Copperbelt province
o Creating and maintaining an AIDS training manual for each Division’s use
o Training HIV/AIDS Coordinators in the Copperbelt province at the division, district, and station levels
o Provide consultation to the National HIV/AIDS Office for the Zambia Police Service
o Travel to consult and encourage the HIV/AIDS police leaders in other provinces & cities

We teach a 10 session AIDS course that is taught from a culturally sensitive and Christian viewpoint. It is considered to be unique in that it speaks to the Zambian culture. It’s currently taught by us at:
o Northrise University
o Mobile Mission Maintenance (Trade school)
o Mechanics For Africa (Trade school)
o Local government and private schools
o Local churches of every denomination – youth grps, women’s grps, men’s grps
o Local villages in partnership with Bridge International

Anti-AIDS Club hosted on a weekly basis by CWO(Z) at Nambeya Primary School

Coming Soon when the new office/library is built:
o A HIV/AIDS Reference Centre for the Zambia Police Service
o A Zambia Police Service consultation and testing room
