Music has always played a vital part of my life.  I started playing piano in the second grade and took classical lessons for ten years.  In the midst of that education, I studied brass instruments through the school system's band program.  I stayed with the band all the way through high school and college.  At Ohio University (in the Marching 110) I met my darling wife in 1989.  We started dating a couple years later and we married in June of 1993.

In 1994, I joined a Christian band in Westerville, OH.  That band only lasted for about seven months and one show, but it was a great learning experience.  While in that band I started learning to write my own songs, a gift God has allowed me to explore and grow.  Then in 1995, I was able to put together my own band in Mansfield, OH.  At first we called ourselves Crimson River but upon learing that a Southern Gospel group alread owned the rights to that particular name we changed to the Rain.  Our bass player, Jason (now in 10th Runner Up) and I became the closest of friends and upon the Rain's demise (after five great years) we soldiered on with another band called Sweet Surrender.  Unfortunately, the new band was only able to hold together for another two plus years.  With a number of line-up changes, I felt that my input was no longer what it should have been and I decided to step aside.

After several years in church ministry, I read an advertisement in the local Adverstiser that a Christian band in Circleville, OH was looking for a player/singer with my particular talents and a phone call later I was the new keyboard player-guitar side man-part time singer-songwriter.  1000 Day Journey is a great opportunity for me to stretch in every aspect of music and ministry, and for that I am eternally greatful to the men of 1000 Day Journey.
