December 1, 2007 - A "JESUS LOVES ME" Kids Outreach was conducted in a township near Soweto. It was an evangelistic feeding program. Sunday School teachers from GBC-Kempton Park assisted in ministering to 60 kids with the help of GBC-Tsepisong mothers.
A week after, "JESUS LOVES ME" Kids Party & Moving-up followed in GBC-Kempton Park.

October 21, 2007 - "GROWING IN GRACE...d' 1st Step" was the theme as the church celebrated its 1st Anniversary, with Steve Thobela as the speaker. 12 individuals were recognized as Batch II members & are being equipped for their respective church ministries. The celebration was wrapped up with lunch fellowship & encouraged with email messages from USA.

September 29 to 30, 2007 - this new congregation in Kempton Park hosted the National Conference '07 of the Association of Berean Grace Ministries in South Africa (ABGMSA). It was held in a nearby Eagle's Rock Conference Centre. The attendance reached 70, comprised with delegations from Soweto, Mpumalanga, Sushanguve, Taung, Cape Town & Kempton Park. It was indeed a great success with the theme, "Imparting the Word...Impacting the World".

June 16, 2007 - A YOUTH DAY Inter-church Fellowship was hosted by GBC-Kempton Park joined by some of the youths from Soweto, Mpumalanga & Capetown. Dean Padayhag & Steve Thobela emphasized the lecture topics "PROUD TO BE A CHRISTIAN" & "CHRIST'S SPECIAL AGENTS". This whole day event was gazed with fun-learning Bible competitions, outdoor sport games, music presentations & a comical sketch.

April 29, 2007 - A KIDS PARTY was conducted in the afternoon as one way of reaching out and evangelizing the kids in the community. We invited these children for a party with free foods, prizes and fun activities. But the main goal is to preach them the Gospel of God's Grace. Encouraging them to attend the Kids Sunday School is our follow-up. We pray that by bringing this kids to church will pave the way of winning also their parents for Jesus Christ.

April 15, 2007 - A KSS Teachers Workshop was conducted by Sheba for the 2 from the Batch 1 recognized church members, who committed to serve God through teaching in the Kids Sunday School. Gerty Mokoka & Tracey Mahlangu learned the skill of keeping the kids' attention by using creative visual aids, exciting games, action songs & telling Bible stories with appropriate body language & facial expression. They also came up with new ideas in effectively reaching out kids for Jesus. The workshop is part of the GBC-SOM which falls under the Church Workers Enhancement courses.

March 25, 2007 - Another Family & Friends Sunday was held. This church is 5 months old now and a lot of new people joining in almost every week. The batch 1 members were recognized by giving certificates of membership. What's ahead for them are series of trainings to be equiped for the respective church ministries they will be performing.

January 21, 2007 - the 2nd Family & Friends Sunday was held in this 3-month old church. New faces were seen including the family of those who have been attending alone. Also attended the worship service, for the 1st time, a flight attendant and her sister who both received Jesus & got saved last December 28 when Pastor Dean & wife were invited to their home in Pretoria for family counseling. It was such an encouragement to see people in this very young church starting to bond together in the love of God. It was also Pastor Dean's 30th birthday and so a barbeque lunch was enjoyed the rest of the day.

December 3, 2006 was GBC-Kempton Park's 1st FAMILY & FRIENDS SUNDAY. This was to promote good family ties in the church. The present members brought their families as well as friends from their workplaces or neighborhood. We had 11 visitors and we hope they will come back every Sunday. We gave an "Andrew Award" to the one who brought the most number of visitors.

October 22, 2006 marks the grand opening of Grace Berean Church in Kempton Park. With 35 attendants, not too bad for a start. We continue to invite people especially those residing around the community. Evangelistic programs are being prepared to reach out as much people as we can for JESUS. We praise God for the provision of the place, equipments, materials and people who helped in the work financially, materially, physically and most of all... prayerfully .
